Dr. Christopher Bissett was born in Auburn, New York and moved with his parents to Marion County in 1979. He attended and graduated from Lake Weir High School. Dr. Bissett served in the U.S. Navy for 6 years, which included Desert Storm and was honorably discharged in 1991. He then moved on to graduate from CFCC and then Life University in Marietta, GA where he graduated from the Chiropractic program.
Dr. Christopher Bissett has been freeing people from pain since 2003, first in Belleview, FL and then relocating in May 2008 to his clinic in The Villages, FL. As a Chiropractor with experience, he is committed to promoting the health and well being of his patients with pain and/or problem specific Chiropractic as well as Wellness and/or preventative Chiropractic.
Dr. Bissett uses a "whole person approach" when taking care of his patients. Catherine Christenson FNP-BC, DNP, APRN is a board-certified family nurse practitioner specializing in orthopedic and regenerative medicine practices. She was raised in Massachusetts where she began her undergraduate nursing career. Dr. Christenson earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Chatham University, post-master’s certificate as a family nurse practitioner from the University of Massachusetts-Boston, and a master’s degree in nursing with high honors from Liberty University.
Christenson has a strong foundation in orthopedics, regenerative medicine, ER, and family practice. While she is traditionally trained, she embraces aspects of alternative medicine. Her goal is to relieve pain, promote wellness, educate patients, and prevent surgery whenever possible. By listening to her patients and accurately diagnosing and treating the root cause of their physical problems, her patients experience excellent outcomes.
Catherine Christenson lives in Leesburg with her husband, Donald, and her sweet mother, Marie. Catherine and Donald have three adult children, an awesome grandson named Logan, and the most wonderful granddaughter ever named Juniper. When she is not spoiling her grandchildren, Dr. Christenson enjoys playing the piano, swimming, and working in her yard.
